The work of South African artist Robin Rhode originates from his physical interactions with drawings executed on walls on the streets of Johannesburg or, most recently, in his studio in Berlin, where he is now based. 2019-10-03 · In 2013, the South African-born artist Robin Rhode, whose interdisciplinary practice blends drawing, performance and photography, converted a 19th-century alcohol distillery in Berlin into a vast Presentation of the artist. Robin Rhode was born in 1976 in Cape Town, South Africa. He received a BFA from Witwatersrand Technikon in Johannesburg in 1998 and studied in 2000 at the South African School of Film in Johannesburg.
